News about His Holiness
Keith received an email from Palyul today saying that HH is expected to stay in thugdam for several days and for those wishing to come to the monastery, to make your travel plans for 7-10 days from now. Hoping for more details, K persuaded me to call Khenpo tonight....He told me that Holiness will not go out of thugdam until Karma Kuchen arrives from Tibet. And that once Karma Kuchen sees Holiness, they are planning on having a public blessing (actually, he might have said viewing--i'm not sure) on April 10th..........

Don't we have to apply for the PAP? If so, isn't that going to take a long time?
keith and i applied for a PAP on retrat and by the time we got to namdroling in january or february it still hadn't arrived...the PAP office is despicaple...we stayed on without one. this time we'll just arrive without even trying. if we aren't able to stay at namdroling itself it's okay (but we might be able to), as we can just stay at a hotel in kushalnagar (a 15 minute rickshaw ride away)...do you think you and minh will go?
we are giving it some real thought. this is a terrible time in terms of schedule - Minh has just began a full time job a for two months, and I've got exams right at the time when we want to be in India...all the while we don't want to miss it! I'm trying to think of a solution at this point. the sadness of HH's passing makes my heart feels as if it's in my stomach :(
oh no...i hope all of us can figure it out...but here's to relaxing our minds now...
